at a holiday trip to france and problem started with holding back when power was needed. Arround 2500rpm feels like diesel is cut of.

Keeping the engine arround the 2000 rpm nothing wrong.

After few 100 km’s issue changed. No diesel cut off anymore when turbo pressure comes in. Just no power.

Climbing up Hill with 60 km/h now.

I tought it was the wastegate what maken the turbo pressure too high and cut of the diesel. Just now ploblem changed not sure anymore.

Any ideas?

faulty maf or map sensor ?
you would need to monitor boost pressure

Good morning @Peter1080

Are you requesting assistance or asking for opinion as to the issue?

From my reading of it, it sounds like the latter and I will ask @blue beasty to move your thread to the appropriate technical section

If however, you are requesting assistance to mend / fix / recover, please send a private message to both @blue beasty and @The Mad Hat Man

Many thanks

Thnx and yes i checked.

Because of how issue starter with cutting of full i think its something else.

Waste gate needs to blow of at 1.2 bar and ecu cuts off diesel when turbo pressure comes at 1.3.. or am i wrong?

What is that small 3 way valve whats in the waste gate system?

Or what sensor sends a Signal to the ecu when diesel pressure is to high?

If disco2, boost is controlled using a boost modulator, common fault and has symptoms like yours

Today 1st try to fix the issue for the trip 1100km back home.

Did try to place the car on a parking spot close by. Just no power at all to move the car. Needed lo gear to get it slightly up hill. So a new issue.
I checked the turbo hoses, small waste gate hoses and all seems fine. Waste gate i can move by hand. So don't think its sticky.

1st issue: feels fuel cut off when coming above 2200 rpm, 100 km's later this changed. No fuel cut of, just no power after 2200 a 2400 rpm.

Now a extra issue is no power at all after start. Iddle it for about 20 minutes and it run again. Just no power after 2200 rpm.

When is start i hear the fuel pump turning louder for about few minutes. After 2 a 3 minuted i dont hear it that loud.

So maybe also a issue with the fuel pump?

Not sure, just did some tests and think there are 2 issues.

1. No power when cold.
2. no power obove 2200 rpm

I just let te engine running on idle for about 15 min and engine temp running up and no problems with moving the car. Car feels normal at low speed.

When i try to drive uphill the original problem is back. Total power above 2200 a 2400 rpm.

What i tested:
- turbo silicone hoses are almost new and all checked
- checked all the hoses of the waste gate control and all looks good
- its a rebuild engine with no more than 10k on the clock
- Waste cate moves by hand (need some force)
- Did try to brigde the waste gate control valve and no changes

One thing. When i put the automatic in P and 1 foot on the brake and other on the gas full. I can't see the waste gate moving. Just don't know if this is normal.

Hope to drive the disco back home for 1100 km next friday
