wish I wur though - 200 miles there & back in a 200TDi with a severely leaking front diff is just too much.

pan's rotted through.
tried bodging it with chemical metal, but it's too far gone.
needs a new pan weldin in, but that's beyond my capabilities.
local guy wants £150 to do it ffs!
 
Bluddy 'ell fire, dunt get many rot right thru'. Best off picking up an ol' axle on Fleabay int yer?
 
s'gone like porous - lots of tiny pin-prick holes.
CV joints gettin noisy on full lock too, so replacement axle might be an option.
trouble is, might end up with something wurser! sometimes it's better the devil you know.
currently considerin options and savin pennies (and toppin up daily!)
 
first one's on Norwich!!!! and dun't look any better than mine.
second one's fer a 300 and dunt got no diff pan!
