Easiest way was drill old spot welds and just cut the rest taking as much rust with it. Here you can see the holes where I am going to pot weld with the mig.

From inside it looks much better. Going to plate the rust gaps from inside.

The door pillar one reshaped with the hammer will get pot welded with the mig again.

No x-brace, no gussets - just that .3mm sheet wrapped 3/4 around the sills, and the floor/roof filled with seam sealer... Suffise to say I told him not to tow it anywhere !

Spent a happy coupla hours upside down, welding in some 5mm gussets, grinding them to suit, joining the floors together, and welding the lot together with some 60mm box....

Years ago when i was a young lad i had a 1978 "T" reg Fiat 127,
now the the engine was well knackered and it used to blow oil back into the air filter then eventually it used to clog the carb and drip on the exhaust manifold and stop...

So to get rid of the thing i cleaned all of the oil out of the air filter box then drilled a hole in it and screwed in a tube which i attatched a pipe to, then i led this pipe into the washer bottle so this could collect the oil.

I refit the air cleaner box and tilted it with the aid of washers so the oil could drain away..

It worked and i sold the car and luckily i never saw it again, I just hope the poor bastard didn't loose control when he went to clean the windscreen and do himself a mischief:doh:

I would never do that today and still feel bad about it:eek:
