I can recommend Promec near Cardiff. They are Landy and HGV specialists. They have done routine servicing for me and have helped out in an emergency when a brake hose failed as I was setting off on holiday.

Andys Landy in carharrick West Cornwall great knowledge of old lands doesnt do modern landrovers, I know he will work on disco 200/300 and old fenders

Would it be a good idear to put all these garages/helpers/Landy repairmen on their own thread with
Out the reams of comments to sive through so as not to befuddle people, you know what it’s like when your world is falling apart or draining away before your eyes, things can get in the way, just the contact details would be Great...

For those members in N Wales I can recommend Stewarts 4 x 4 in Mold. He's looked after my vehicles for years.

Docklow 4x4 in Docklow (between Leominster and Bromyard) Has every spare needed for discovery 1 2 and defender. Has full workshop and knows tons about the older series as well and the l322

Rob or Simon 01568760248

G&M Motors, 4 Corntown, Dingwall IV7 8HR, Highlands (12 miles north west of Inverness)

Not a LR specialist, but done enough jobs on mine (and other customers various, but usually Freelanders)

His "Launch" android code reader is good enough to read pretty much all of my fault codes too.

EAS is a difficult one as no one around here want's to touch it. However, I have software on my laptop to read faults and reset some.

Can I recommend Rob of Auto-Essentiel in Labastide-Rouairoux, in the Tarn, about 20 miles east of our place? When my Disco 2 got smashed into, he and Pascal his mechanic repaired it with parts he had from an identical vehicle. Rear axle, two doors, etc. He is Dutch so speaks Dutch, English and French. He has absolutely tons of spares and is the "goto" person in our neck of the woods. He is a lovely bloke and Pascal knows what he is doing. Has Bearmach, Terrafirma, T-max and Britpart, on his site. (He's always asking me to bring vehicles over for him!) No call out though, well, probably not if you are in a hurry, and certainly not 24/7.
Please pm me as I have no idea about how to do this and I can give you his details.

Something for the LZIR data :)

In Saltash (First town into Cornwall) I would highly recommend Alford Autos the owner is a real Landy enthusiast and they are specialists in Landrover repairs and maintenance. They have always gone above and beyond.

Is this still an active project?

If so, if south Warwickshire is an area you want to put someone on the map for I'd recommend Town and Country in Cubbington. They went above and beyond for me.
I took my Rangie to a local garage for the MOT, they failed it on the pitman arm (excess play, pah!). They quoted to replace it, I gave them the go ahead. Jokers couldn't even split the ball joint, but they managed to mangle everything in sight trying.
Town and Country fitted me in in time for me to get the retest free and were very good about it all. They usually have a long wait time for routine work, but they're very helpful when things are genuinely urgent.
