Just been down to see Taximan2011 and his new toy, a 4.6 HSE with gas.
He's only picked this up for less than I paid for my Nanocom Evo!
Anyway with help from Mozz, a car that hasn't fired up for a year (hence the price) is now rumbling away in Taximan's ENORMOUS shed/garage.
Thanks Mozz.

If he is a leg end does that mean he is a foot. Or the other end of the leg? :D:D:D

No only have the first copy he sent me that was rewritten so that people who don't understand Manc can decipher it. With drivers door unlocked put key in upright position. Press and hold lock button, turn to locked position and back to upright. Release button. Press and hold unlock button, turn key to unlock position and back to upright. Release button. Or sit in car put key in ignition with red light visible. Press and hold lock button and turn key to # 1 position. Release button and press and hold unlock button turn ignition off. Release button. Key should be synced. If you have messages on your dash like engine immobilised enter EKA or press fob and key is not synced, you will have to enter and have accepted the EKA code BEFORE key can be synced.

right well I get the message saying engine immobilised and I've tried doing the EKA with the door lock but still no joy getting the thing started. the car isn't responding to the key fob at all. and when I unlock the car it only unlocks the drivers door

Oddly enough that doesn't work with my #4 key until I have unlocked it with my #1 keyfob first! Tried it a few times now. Once I've resynched the #1 keyfob and then unlocked the car with the fob the #4 key can be resynced. All very bizarre. Maybe it depends on which one was last used before it lost sync? Not untangled the full story yet. Only really loses sync if I leave the battery off for a few days.

Only unlocking the driver's door sounds like the microswitches at the bottom of the lock aren't working or the other lock motors have burnt out. Was it working before the fob lost sync?

How many times did you try the EKA? You need to open and shut the door after the second attempt or it gets arsy and starts locking you out for a longer and longer period before you can try again.
