She has gone into limp mode, I have replaced the intercooler hose it looked a right mess with oil but no splits in the hoses, I've also checked the other hose from turbo and that seems okay, so I left guessing the next step. I have a million fault codes that have come up on the gap tool (I'm guessing that a low battery might be the cause of most of them) . My thoughts are to put most of it back together, see if I can get the DPF off , wash it out with drain cleaner and coke cola fascinating video on U tube of a guy trying different ways to wash one out . Then get the update for the gap tool so I can do a forced regeneration on the dpi and see if that does it. If not it might mean changing the egr I mean what is money for if not to throw at a Land Rover) I've put pics of the fault codes below for your amusement. Any thoughts are much appreciated. And one last thing a shout for Nexus in Stourport who had a look at all my fault codes (we were on holiday in the UK using a rental car) and reckoned I should change the hoses and has offered to walk me through the next steps if needed. Anyways as said input gratefully received.

Battery voltage ?
The code are odd, if you have disconnected some senors, clear the codes first. Then you can read the code.

Have you looked using the gap if the dpf is full? Its a lot of messing about trying to remove and clean a dpf, as a guess.

Have you cleared to codes to see what codes stay, or come back when starting a new drive cycle?

Is it permanently in limp mode or will it clear if you disconnect and reconnect the battery?
 
Hej Hippo, I'm not sure how to use the gap to see if DPF is full, I think I need to contact gap to get a update so I can do a regen if necessary. The codes come back if I clear them and some time it will stay out of limp mode for a while other times it will go directly to limp mode. Found out whilst taking every thing apart a split in one of the hoses on the pipes that come from the DPF so will get a new one Monday put it all back together to see if that does anything.

It will be a pain to put everything back just to test to see if replacing that little pipe enables me to do a regen but I'd rather get it sorted, I have a few long journeys to do in September and I don't think I'll survive 500k in the wife's little Corsa on our roads :-(

Much appreciated for the link, read somewhere that you have to contact Gap to get the update to enable a forced regen. I'll get an email off to gap over the weekend and post on here when I get the reply.
 
The gap iid i have is updated using a pc. Gap provide software for the pc to read and update it. Then plug into yer FL2 to connect it again. Make sure yer fone has internet access as the gap iid will likely want to pull down some new data files via the web, the first time yer use it after an update.

I always do the second bit to make sure its ok and working. Would be a sod if yer broke down without internet access and plugged it in for the first time after a pc update.
 
okay got a reply from Gap, apparently my gap tool is a G2 which too old to do a forced regen which implies the new gap tools would be able to do it. So for now I'll get the tube on and get on with sorting out the fault code (P0087-71 (50) mechanical failure -actuator is stuck ) been busy with hay harvest between rain drops for the pass few days so hopefully get on with this before I forget where all the bolts go to.
Next question is is a gen2 gap tool worth anything on the secondhand market considering it cost around 400 quid to buy new or is just a great paper weight :-(
