Right,
I know that blue smoke is the burning of oil - Bad.
I also know that white smoke is most likly to just be vapour.

Black smoke is what? And how much is considered to be normal if any at all.

(N reg, 300 series, 98 500 on the clock.)

Black smoke = unburnt fuel, worn injectors dirty air filter. That sort of thing. Apart from a bit on start up you shouldnt expect much.

Black smoke is there to tell the queue behind you that although you are only doing 40mph up the hill, the pedal is on the floor and you're doing your best;)

40 mph - you'll be lucky! Try 10 - 15 mph and the hill around me are not that big I can tell you!

Bludy hell, 10 - 15mph up hills. Think there's a problem there!!!!
Before i took the EGR out it flew up hills (at least 45mph!!!!!), haven't driven it that much since, so can't really compare but it definately has got more umphhhh!
Mine chucks out abit of black smoke when i put my foot down, and it's definately less black smoke than before i did the egr.

I can get up there in 4th at about 50mph. However on the way back I can do 85 but the steering doesn't seem to be connecyed to the front wheels:mad:
