britpart are a wholsaler not a manufacturer they do genuine and oem, and yes they do genuine air bags as well as budget, they do a range of parts oem or genuine or branded parts ,all oem or genuine have the same source whether it comes from bearmach britpart or allmakes ,if you just buy the cheapest parts from your supplier what do you expect ,you pay lr £47 for a timken wheel brg id rather pay £5 for a timken from britpart ,but i wouldnt buy the one they sell for £3
Was about to make just this point.
Car 'Manufacturers' don't manufacture every single item they use in the construction of a car, they outsource to a number of different suppliers.
Likewise, Britpart probably don't manufacture many (if any) of the parts that carry their brand - they are sourced from the same group of suppliers that the car manufacturers (like Land Rover) use to procure their components.
If Britpart import a lot of Chinese/Indian parts then that is a concern and would put me totally off buying the brand, it wouldn't be easy to identify though if they also brand parts from OEM suppliers as people have mentioned in this thread.
Maybe we should petition Britpart to put a 'Country of Origin' label on their products, like fruit and veg
find a britpart director and shuv it up his arse
Help ... I just went out to MM4x4 to pick up a front prop for my Landy, prepaid over the phone and guess what? ... yep, it's a Britpart prop. As it's an easy job I will fit it tomorrow and it does have a 12 month guarantee so I guess I'll keep the receipt and take both halves back in the summer (if it lasts that long). As I am going to fit it and there are no grease nipples on it is there anything I should do to it that may help prolong its life? :flame2:
Props not covered by their 'new' 24 month warranty????
