'Ah the good old Majestic Major. Back in the 'sixties when I was a chauffeur a friend in the same job took his employer & family to the station (Paddington I believe) to catch the night express to Scotland & then drove the Daimler, with the luggage, up the A1 to meet them. He was waiting for them at the station when the express pulled in!
Old Rover 3.5 V8 was almost bullet proof. Very easy to work on. Worst V8 ever, Triumph Stag engine. Possibly the best i ever worked on 4.7 V8 in 928 Porsche.
Bloke I used work with got a pontiac firebird. Doing it as a road legal strip car. Think in 9 odd litresI do like yank motors

Bloody hell Keith that brings back memories. Mine was white i bought it for a song but it cost a bloody fortune in plugs as it oiled them up for fun. Could not be bothered doing engine so blocked it for a £150.00 profit. Pity really because the car was absolutly mint inside and out. That would be around 1969 i guess. £150.00 profit was a couple of weeks wages then.
