I always have plenty of PlusGas to hand, in oil and spray forms - proper penetrating fluid that actually works. WD40 is good for making hoses shiny just before you flog the car - that's about it! :D

ill try that next time I flog a car
mind you it,ll be a p38 so... you can polish a turd and all that

WD40 is good for stopping tools rusting, things like garden shears, however good old 3in1 is better.

WD40 did a good job of stopping the rocking chair in the nursery from squeaking, therefore it's ok in my book!

i use washing-up liquid and soap powder they seem to react with each other and gets all the oily c**p off my hands and arms.

You know what I found I dislike about WD40 ..

When you've had the lid knocked off somehow and the can is slightly larger than those around it in the boot .. and something moves slightly above it.

You can hear the hissing, eventually smell it, but it's usually too damn late!!

Soak your hand in hot water with biological washing powder, clean in no time with no rubbing.

Butter and sugar make a fantastic cleaning agent. Obviously you shouldn't sink your oily paws into the butter dish. That usually results in a lot of shouting.

It limits what you can do in which way?

Sometimes a slight scraping of the skin is acceptable and quite painless to enable the job to get done a little quicker or better but of you are wearing gloves you just know it's going to rip them, negating the whole point of wearing them. They have their uses but they aren't the be all and end all of keeping the muck off.
Imo.

No they aren't, but a lot better than nothing. Depends what you are doing i suppose. I take it you have never seen anyone with Dermatitis?

You need to teach him the "other" answer"!:
-If it doesn't move and it should: WD40@
-If it moves and it shouldn't: Duct Tape

Ahh, the old Engineering Flowchart :
