Anybody tried these?
I have had two vehicles with adjustable damping and on both it was superb.
On the soft setting the car floated over rough roads like they weren't there.
On the medium it was standard fare, while the hard setting was rock hard ("fast road" it said)

I wondered about fitting them to my Defender TD5.
Could it improve the ride for road use?
 
Where is the adjuster fitted on the damper itself? just thinking the fronts could eb fun to adjust?
 
I wouldn't mind knowing too as at present myself as mine has the suspension of a skateboard.
 
Yes l have had them on my 110 for around 60,000 miles now.
On the softest setting the ride quality is noticeably improved, at the expense of higher speed road holding where the wheels can bounce over bumps taken at speed.
However for 90% of the time, and bearing in mind the speed that you generally drive a Defender, the softest setting is a worthwhile improvement in ride quality.

After around 60,000 miles the dampers are still fine, although the adjuster had seized on one of them (probably because l never adjust them) and the knob broke when l tried to turn it.
l replaced the offending damper, the adjuster freed off with pliers so l could have just refitted it l guess.
 
If I were you I’d mark the dial numbers on the red adjustment knob itself.
All of my dial number stickers that were attached to the red knob fell off after time. If I remember correctly all 4 of them are set on 2 but now I don’t know if turning clockwise it’s 3 or a 1. Aargh…:mad:

Yeah 60,000 miles and still work great. Had to replace the top bushes on the rears a couple of years ago.
Mine are the standard length and have only had 90% road/10% light off road use.

So maybe that's why they've lasted

Yeah, mine have been off road a high percentage and then they were worked hard, but even so they failed very early.

No reply from TF when they were contacted directly, got them replaced via the supplier. Stangely with no request to send the broken ones back.

Not up to how they are sold, ............ "factory racing to the shops, but mind for the speedbumps " maybe..LOL.

They couldn't even be bothered to reply to your warranty request.
l get that happening with suppliers of tech such as expensive bluetooth speakers, dab radios and music streamers etc

The companies are difficult to contact in the first place, there's no phone number just an email address, and the registered office is often somewhere like lndonesia

Had a customer with a Jarre Aerobull which is a music streamer in the shape of a full sized red plastic bulldog.
Cost £1500 !!
Spares? not a chance.
Customer service? company is in France, unit is made in China.
Don't respond to emails and phone is not answered

I sent them emails, facebook messages and left messages on the youtube page, no reply on any of them.

Luckily the supplier was able to get a replacement set after a 6 week delay, but by then I had changed for OME ones from Gwynn Lewis.

When I next see them at a show I will ask them how robust their shocks are?...LOL. I also managed to have one of their soft shackles fail and afterwards, when I asked them about the strength and reliability of the soft shackles at a show, they were adamant they had never had a failure. Oh how I laughed in their faces.

As you may be able to tell TF are not my favourite supplier.

Does anyone do adjustable dampers apart from TF?
l am after better ride quality, the TF ones do a good job, certainly for mainly road use.
 
I fitted these aswell and although I don't change them apart from playing with the nob sometimes, just to make sure it works ;) it was nice being able to adjust them to get what I wanted in the first place
