Did a small roadtrip over the weekend - approx 360 miles - 1995 defender 90 300tdi performed like a dream, except about 12 miles from home i experience sudden power loss went from happy 70mph to unhappy 30 mph, no power through any gears at all really, pulled over tapped accelerator pedal but not much response - felt like fuel starvation or similar . left her ticking over for a few minutes to check everything, set off again and all was fine - didn't happen again rest of 12 miles home - any thoughts would be very welcome.

If it turns out it's not the filters, try givin' yer intercooler and turbo hoses a good clean out to see if that makes any difference
I have just had exactly the same problem.
I was doing 50 Mph, and slowly my 300TDI lost power. I had to change down gear to prevent stalling. I managed on get home but at 15 Mph, in third gear and my foot flat down on the accellerator.
I started her after half an hour and all was OK again for a short while, but I felt the power loss again...
Did you resolve the problem???
