Hello,
I'm trying to fit a temperature sender (part no. 560794) to my 1966 series 2a, with what I believe to be the original engine (no. 252xxxxxH), but the sender thread is slightly smaller than the threaded hole in my thermostat housing. Logically I need an adaptor but I can't be sure which one to buy from those that are available from the various suppliers. I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has met this problem before. I know I can buy an aftermarket sensor that fits in the top hose, but I would like to use the original style sender unit. I hope I've posted this thread correctly - I'm new to the forum and not sure exactly what to do. Many thanks.
