Hi folks.
Its been a while but, I'm finally back into Landy ownership.
Thing is, my 83 military 109 has an odd thing.
When I use the headlights, the temperature gauge rises rapidly. The engine isn't actually getting any hotter and if I switch off the lights, the gauge falls.
Anyone had this problem and more importantly, know how to fix it?
Thanks for any clues you can give.

Well, months later I finally found the time to take the panels off and take a look.
Thanks for the hint on earthing. Turns out the knurled nuts on the gauges were all a bit loose. Sorted.

Get a mechanical gauge - 30 quid tops but you'll be able to trust it.......................... Durite do one, as do TIM.
