I have a 1985 land rover 110 that has a 200TDI dropped in but none of the temperature gauges are working. Can anyone recommend any garages near south Wales to fix these please?
Coolant temp gauge is unlikely to work correctly as the gauge and sender are mismatched, although it should still work incorrectly.
Hope that makes sense but I doubt it!
If its a Disco engine, Defender engine not sure about.

Yes it's a disco engine. The gauge doesn't move at all, so perhaps the connection is damaged. I asked my local garage and they said the temperature sender has corroded and might break if removing, so I was hoping for summer recommendations of some garages as I'd like to avoid breaking it myself haha
If the sender breaks or strips the threads then that will be a proper pain, also finding the correct sender is something of a pain. You could put an adaptor in the top hose to take an aftermarket sensor.
I have just done this for pretty much the same issue as you describe.
I got an adapter from here to fit series sender into my discovery 200di
You could try lots gentle tapping with 4oz pin hammer on the sender and keep this up for a long while will eventually loosen threads along with some release agent
