2010 R/R/S 3.0ltr diesel auto. My temperature reading never alters, it just stays on minimum. I am not getting any faults or problems, just wondering if this is normal?.
Thanks Mark will look at that tomorrow. You should looking at the coolant temp sender on the head somewhere, there maybe two.one is for the ECU and the other for the temp gauge. Unless your motor is different. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
I have the older 2.5td and I have two sender's. I replaced them both as they were looking a bit green and one was loose.
Good luck
There is only one temp sender for the gauge. Brown or blue, aircon/year dependent. On a 3 ltr V6 RRS?There is only one temp sender for the gauge. Brown or blue, aircon/year dependent. The green one is for the ECU.
On a 3 ltr V6 RRS?
Post #1 is about a 3.0ltr RRS, no one has definitively answered his question, Mark's comment was vague or related to the P38 as did your answer. No on the one the poster was talking about that got the answer.

Mark was not asking about the P38 sensors,he just stated he replaced both while trying to help the OP about which he you and I have no clue, which is why I suggested it needs diagnostics.I don't really care what post #1 was about i was answering Mark. If you know where the temp sender is on the OPs car tell him, i don't have a clue.

Found one under the thermostat, angle one grey in colour. I am not getting any codes, think I will try and find a fault running diagnostic in live mode.Sorry..... Wrong engine...
Not the V6 unfortunately. Sorry op'!
Amazingly similar with glass chains...That’s very similar to a P38 M51 Mark, even I can see what’s what
