I recently replaced the aux tensioner and belt after the bearing in the tensioner finally gave up (at 182000 miles to be fair).
Now after a minute or so of driving the car goes into limp mode. Hawkeye gives the following DTCs:

P006a - MAP - Mass or Volume Air Flow Correlation Bank 1
P1247- Turbo Boost Pressure Low
P0528 - Fan Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal

I suspect the first 2 are connected (maybe a punctured hose) and that the 3rd one is my actual problem, probably due to a badly re-seated connector.
Does anyone know which wire/connector is the one for the fan sensor? I suspect the one on the right side (as you look at it from the front) of the fan which sort of passes through the fan shroud, but the connector there seems to be ok.

Thanks for the help!

Hiya

make sure both MAF sensors that are on the left hand side are plugged in along with the MAP sensor

indeed the fan motor wire sits on the RH hand side in that cowl section

ensure ur intercooler hose clips are tight

recheck all the connectors that you’ve unplugged which I assume it was ok before u unplugged everything

when u clear all the codes so they comes straight back

hope that helps a little

Look at fan hub and follow the loom out, we have loads of issues on the trucks where the loom exits the rubber protector pipe, it rubs through and causes all sorts of fault codes.

I fixed the main issue by disconnecting, cleaning and re-connecting the fan sensor connector.
The MAF/MAP and turbo pressure issues are still there but I'll get to those.

Thanks :)

Hi,

I have a Disco 4 SDV6 HSE. I used to get single error P1247 at random. Now it seems to have fixed itself.

I am concerned that it might be the lull before the storm.

Any advise?

Can restricted performance be caused by the car not being used?

Possibly, just thinking either something has stuck/partially jammed, and using it it has freed it up?

Join the D3/4 forum and search for your code, there are various valves that control the two turbos.

Is the fault there straight after staring or after a few miles?

it just pops up at random. Nothing for 100 miles and then POP. And there is no other error code.

Well I think you are going to need someone who knows what they are talking about ref the D4, any specialists near you? if not ask on the Disco3.co.uk forum

Just woundering what wad the problem in the end to these fault codes
P006a - MAP - Mass or Volume Air Flow Correlation Bank 1
P1247- Turbo Boost Pressure Low
P0528 - Fan Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal
I changed timing belt and had exactly the same fault codes appear. Thanks

hi, I got the same code, no leaks, can you point me in the right direction as to where this fan sensor connector is you cleaned please? got a pic or can you point out the location on a pic online for me?
thanks hero, mantrid.

The OP had the "P0528 - Fan Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal" code which has to do with that fan sensor, this fault has absolutely no relation with your 006A and 1247 codes which are a completely different issue
