Hi guys
My tdi converted 2a 88" has a defender 200tdi fitted but re-dressed as a disco 200tdi, my question is when sevicing i can only get 6.1lts in it on the level mark on the dipstick inc a filter and ran up after changing oil and filter but the level for a tdi in a discovery and or defender are much higher as the engine tilts back in the chassis should i put oil in as a defender / disco or carry on as i am putting 6.1 lts in.

6 litres sounds right
The 200 dipsticks always annoy me, and I have found the only true way to get an accurate reading is to leave overnight and check in the morning.

I assume you have the correct dipstick for the correct engine, ie disco or defender, as they are different lengths?
