Whats the highest mileage you have seen or heard of with a 200 or 300tdi?

Just curious.

Thanks.

My old 200 Classic has got 242,000 on it,I've agreed to buy it back now to use the engine my SIII.Runs a treat, had a HG at 72,000 - but the injectors etc have never been touched.

Seen and driven some 200tdi in Tanzania and South Africa that have done more than 500,000km and still running. But they probably have had many parts changed during their lifetime - a bit like Trigger's broom thats had four handles and five heads.

Of course their idea of a decent running engine is a little different to the UKs. Many of them smoke better than James Bond's Aston and need topping up with oil and water on an hourly basis.

I've got a mate whos dads brothers wifes bosses sons milkman's 300tdi is still going strong with 999k on the clock :D:D:D

There was about 230-240k miles on the 200 Tdi in my old 110, was still going strong and only consuming a small amount of oil. I reckon with new rings it would have been spot on though.
In contrast, the one I fitted to my current 110 this summer has just 80,000 on it backed up by S/H :D

lLook after them as a soldier looks after it's rifle and the go on and on and on and then your kids will take over and the'll keep on runin. just look at some landys in africa
