hello umm just wondering if anyone could help i want a 300tdi engine in my defender it was a diesel but i put a 4.8 v8. how much different is a discovery 300 to defender and will it fit on lt77 gear box cheers

let me get this right - it was a diesel of some king and then you did all the mods required to convert to a petrol V8 - and now you want to convert back to a 300tdi.
ok, I can understand wanting the easy going 300tdi, but why did you convert in the first place???

IIRC you will need to bolt a TD flywheel housing to the back of a Discovery 300Tdi to get it to mate to an Defender LT77.

I guess you know the rest about exhaust and engine mounts.
