hi all
just aquired disco number 4 must be mad
anyway all my other discos were manual and started instantly
but my latest is auto and to start it takes about five seconds of cranking with half throttle and it starts
it always starts but not like my manual ones
is this normal or have i a fault?
ps it drives fine no problems and it always starts

Glow plugs not as good as your other disco.s? Maybe also the battery not as good? Maybe glow plugs not working at all?

You have a fault my 1998 Disco 300Tdi auto starts first turn, instantly Winter or Summer

isn,t all autos fly by wire pumps?
it has a wire connector on number 1 injector.

my first auto so im learning a bit to be honest.
i think ill change heater plugs and maybe fuel filter and pump and see what happens
its done 118000 miles
