driving to work this morning i have had a lot of white smoke come out my exhaust
the smoke stinks like rotten eggs?
the car is running ok ( not missing or having problems starting? i have looked at the oil and theres no water in the oil)

there also a whining noise coming from under the bonnet?
any ideas?

High sulphur fuel?

i filled up with deisel 3 days ago
this problem only started today?
what do you mean High sulpher fuel?

It is only a shot in the dark - but there was a problem a year or so ago with Tescos and Morrisons having a bad batch of fuel - very high sulphur content - blew up several car engines. Cant remember whether that was doozil or petrol tho...........

and Sulphur smells like bad eggs!!!

HI yeah i remember that as one lady at my place had the problem
it was petrol having to much cleaning stuff in the mixture
this was Tescos
i dont think thats the problem i have had a whining noise in the back ground for a few days since it snowed im wondering is i have a pipe thats gone somewhere?( MORE HOPING)

The rotten eggs smell suggest sulphur, howlever as you have a catalytic converter, it could be overheating due to a fault elsewhere.

Sounds like a U/S Cat, you could try some Cataclean or Catguard & see if it helps.
