Sounds like unburnt fuel. Are your glo-plugs working? Diesels without glo-plugs generally produce bluish-white smoke until the engine's warmed up. It smells stronly of diesel! Alternatively are you sure it's not just condensation in the exhaust?The smoke is grey colour, the colder and damper the morning the worse it is.

Take a while for the 5th cylinder to start firing on mine, need to change the glow plugs should sort it.
Check the circuit first. Changing a fuse is cheaper and easier.thanks for the replies, will change the glow plugs, isuppose thats the cheapest and easiest option.
