All much of a muchness, I always found the td5 to be as flat as a wet fart when off boost, but then so were the tdis before it.

10p's have black top injectors
15p's have a later fuel pressure regulator with external spill return pipe
I think the casting number on the 10p is HRC 2880

Why, do you suspect that the engine was changed by the PO? cos if the VIN ends with XA......(aka MY 1999) it was fitted from factory with 10P engine that's 100% certain

Just check the engine no. It will either start with 10P or not (15P -19P) if itโs been replaced.
The TD5 engine number is on the left hand side of the engine (turbo side) about half way along the block below the exhaust manifold. Nothing wrong with a good 10P
