Hi all,

Dont suppose anyone knows if its easier to change a TD5 water pump with or without the housing?

I have a new pump with its housing on a bench at the moment. can i just do a straight swap or do i have to take the pump out of the housing and swap that?

Oh also, its a disco housing, are they identical to the defender ones?

I'm pretty sure they are identical. I'd swap the whole pump assembly rather than cobble together bits and pieces.

hijack old thread sorry

but does anyone no the part no for the gasket between the water pump housing and the block?

I couldn't find it either. I was lucky that the old one was in good shape and just chanced it.
