Hi all,
Strange noise like a worn or loose bearing coming from front of engine.
I purchased the tools to remove the fan and found that the tool for locking the pulley so that the fan can be undone could not be used because the pulley bolts are to short ! No mention anywhere that I would need longer bolts! Be aware.
Undid the fan by hitting spanner with club hammer,with the tension off I found that the fan pulley bearing sounds as if its got sand in it thus explaining the strange noise.
As I don't have access to a press I am having the bearing replaced by DLR.
All other items driven by the belt seem ok.

Don't know where you got the tools but the ones supplied by R Wilde from the D2 Boys Club fit perfectly and make the job a doddle.

Ive got Laser viscous fan spanners, what do you mean the bolts are too short? The spanner picks up on just the heads of 2 of the bolts to lock it??
