Hi All.

Hoping somone can point me in the right direction here ... Yesterday driving home in my 2001 TD5 GS, I noticed that I couldn't accelerate above 3000rpm. Also there was a stagger when I did try and accelerate like there was a fuel supply problem. I tried a couple of times in different gears and when approaching 300rpm the car is like its being held back.

I searched on the forum and found a similar reference to this and the cause was oil in the injector wiring loom. Does this sound like a explanation to the problem ?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

could be or on my td5 the turbo waste gate was sticking and when you hit 3000rpm it did what you just said

Hi Stuart C

I have had a similar problem, which the engine management system detects a problem and the engine goes into limp mode which does not allow you to rev over 3000rpm, try somebody whos got a computer program that can read the fault codes and diagnose the problem and reset the Management system,

I hope this helps

Regards

Ray
