Well I just fitted my 4th hose in 2 years

No 1 came with the disco, and wept slightly from the bleed screw hence...

I fitted no 2, a Britpart hose. The reinforcement failed after ~ 1 yr and it inflated like a balloon, hence...

I fitted no 3, an OEM hose. This one was OK until I tried to bleed the system this week whilst doing some other work. The screw seized and just pulled out the moulded in nut. Hence..

No 4, a genuine hose. Actually, this is the first hose that hasn't fouled the AC pump.

How hard can it be to make a decent aftermarket hose for less than the selling price of a good kidney? Pretty hard, it seems.

happened to me too, not once, bought a chevrolet coolant bleeder valve, this kind

used some good quality rubber to metal bonding adhesive to fit instead of the moulded nut(Robond) and it's been good since, also easy to bleed;)
