I am looking for a 90 to replace my TD5 disco.

Have been looking for a decent 300 tdi 90 for 6k for a while but they're hard to come by. On the other hand, I have seen loads of 8-10 year old 90 TD5s for the same money, many of which are in better condition.

I used to have a 300 tdi disco and I remember how sluggish it was in the cold mornings compared to my TD5 disco. Should I just get a TD5 90?

I've had loads of 300s a use to swear by them but after owning a td5 I don't think I could go back unless it was for just offroading ,wading in deep water that's the only advantage to 300s

IMO

Yes

Iv gone from td5 to 300tdi and im happy with the tdi, drives very well and has enough power for everyday, only thing i miss is the noise the strait through made on the td5

Prefer my original 200TDi over all other engines. My current 300TDi is next best with the TD5 my least favourite. Always found the TD5 indeferent and less economical.

My vote goes to the TDi

This isn't a poll, but TD5 sounds much nicer with the asynchronous throb from its 5 cylinders.
