Hi Guys,

My brothers and I, have just replaced the turbo, intercooler on our 90. We have also cleaned all the pipework, injectors and cylinders etc

When we went to fire it up yesterday, we could hear the fuel pump pumping deisel into the head (louder than usual, so didnt seem right??) and then when we fully turned the ignition the engine just clicked (like the battery didnt have any juice...)

We have checked the battery and that fuel is not leaking from anywhere... and it seems fine.

We are going to bleed the fuel lines today to see if that works, we are not mechanics so we are learning on the job!

Any ideas/pointers for us novices?

Cheers, Ash

Might be an earthing problem as it sounds like the starter solenoid's clicking in and out. Also check your battery terminals are tight.

We took the starter solenoid out (which was bloody filthy), completely cleaned the copper surfaces with wire wool and she started first time!!

Spot on guys! cheers for your help/advice.
