OK. So who has bought one? Have you managed to diagnose engine electronics faults, with an engine that wont start? Any other feedback or info re nanocom would be appreciated.
thanks Bob

I have one and it is a handy diagnostic tool especially when hooked up to a laptop computer. So far sorted out the faults on the 3 amigos and also injector faults.
Got mine from Paddocks so it only had the unlock code for the TD5 ECU on the engine. Nanocom support will e-mail the unlock codes within 24hrs so I could access the ABS and SLS diagnostics.
Download the user manual from NANOCOM TD5 diagnostic tool

do they do one for the V8? (98 in a disco) will it (as claimed by the local 'specialist') tell me which abs sensor is causing the abs light to be on?

I think they only do it for the TD5. You will need to go into the nanocom web site and ask them the question.

Sorry I cannot help

i've been trying to get one from paddocks but they are on back order till the end of the month

i recently bought one from [l/rparts] it cost £200 +vat+postage about £250 approx they said they had 9 left that was last week you will have to download the drivers and
firmware from the nanocm web site ,it came with all the lead cables{ ie;obd cable and the usb cable to connect to a laptop}
hope this is of use have fun kwikdraw

Apparently there is a new Nanocom due out the end of April, beginning of May.

Also at around the same time the modules for V8 engine and autobox ECU will be available - according to Mattia.
