Got the engine running again in my project disco to find that the fuel pressure regulator is leaking. I spent a few frustrating hours changing it for a spare one I had and that's bloody well leaking too. They're both leaking from the small hole in part number 5 on the drawing below. Now I know you can buy the whole assembly and I will if I have to rather than risk changing in another spare in case that leaks too, but I wondered if part number 5 is available to buy separately? Nowt wrong with the rest of the assembly.

There are other kits around with the gaskets, o-rings and pressure regulator you have shown - it has a diaphragm inside which likely leaked. I had an awful lot of prob's with this one some years ago, but maybe X8R have improved it?

Tried variious suppliers today for a genuine LR on but no one has them in stock and are all waiting delivery from JLR. No time given. I've had to order one of the X8R repair kits to see me through. At least they have a Bosch regulator. The original one replaced 9 yrs ago had only gone on the small O ring.
Reading posts on how to replace them, one says to turn the wheels on full left lock to get to the bottom bolt. What acess hole are they using?

Griff

I got the bottom bolt off mine through the wheel arch using a socket on a couple of long extensions. I don't have the plastic trims between the body and chassis or wheel arch liner fitted though.

Preferably you need to be about 6' 3" with the arms of a gibbon, two elbows on each arm, and hands the size of a pixie! Not the easiest thing to access, and the bottom bolt is challenging; watch the little o-ring that sits in the block - falls out! I followed this:

I took all the pipe fittings and sensor off first, then removed from the top. Then same to put back on the new one. Made access much easier with the spanner.
