thanks for your offer Sean but that does not look right i want the one that goes in battery box. (i think) the space seems very small but i am fairly sure that is where it should be.

maybe i should of said it's a td5 disco

You dont have to say disco if you post in the disco forum do you, although we will take post as a disco question.
The standard disco jacks up via the axel as shown in the owners handbook and the top of the supplied bottle jack has been modified with a U instead a flat saddle but as mentioned by Sean above they are available on eBay.

maybe not maybe yes discool, no harm done i feel. i have not seen one yet described as specific fit to td5 DISCO on ebay. I am surely not alone in my position. cheers Sean

I couldn't stop laughing when I bought a replacement bottle jack from my Landy main dealer. (now gone bust thanks goodness).

The instructions on the leaflet said "do not lay bottle jack on side".

:confused:How else do you get it to fit in the box?

Stupid LandRover.

To comply, I laid it on its back instead.

Simples.

Hi
The bottle jack for the TD5 is exactly the same as the one for the p38 range rover, so that can help widen your search.
Mark

Screw Fix jacks are not spicific for a Land Rover with its curved saddle.

Thats the jack they are all the same although I'm unsure the wheel nut brace will fit D2 nuts I believe they are smaller. LR jacks normally go for £15 + P&P on ebay.
