hi guys
Dropped a b*ll*ck in the week and adjusted the TD5 injector adjusters wrongly.

Cut a long story short, can the rocker arms be changed on the rocker shaft with another used one? There's a fair few rocker shafts on ebay, so thought of just changing the one I've damaged the thread over. New parts aren't available to buy individually.
Ignore the ruined adjuster.

Thanks in advance. Feel a real clown on this one

Anyone help please?

Yes they can I’ve done it. They tell you that you need new horseshoe clips but I just closed mine up a bit with some grips before re fitting, you need to put some oil on the shaft as you re fit them.
Take care that you get the correct ones the earlier engines had a lower pressure system with black top injector and the later ones are quite a bit higher pressure with green top injectors the rocker arms are different.

Hope I didnt confuse things, I was assuming you wanted to take one rocker arm off your exisiting shaft and slip a new rocker onto it, thats what I did some time ago as I had one damaged cam lobe which had scored the roller which rides on it.

The later rocker shafts fit both 10p & 15p - the earlier ones shouldn't be used with 15p.

Thanks so much chaps. Man I thought I had a £400 quid bill for a new rocker shaft.

I did purchase new adjusters, but unfortunately I've bu**ered the thread in the rocker arm itself where the adjusters screw into.

I may take you up on that rocker shaft James please
