Hi all, got a problem that's baffling me. Any advice most welcome. My td5 54 plate heats up really quickly and blows nice hot air out of the vents. Not the problem. My x reg td5 doesn't do what the other one does. It takes approx 15 miles before the temp gauge can be bothered to get its backside off the stop and eventually gets to just under halfway and stays there. Heat through the vents is not that impressive. Both vehicles don't use any water. Any suggestions?

could be a blocked rad, they need a flush through as the crud inside builds up and partially blocks it, check to see if all the rad is getting hot and also check the hoses for delamination

Cheers all. Will check tomorrow on rad temp right through. Then it looks like the hosepipe may be coming out.

My disco td5 does same thing every day on the same bend..
Warm up for 2/3 mins on drive, drive to shop for paper, leave running, drive to work after 6 miles turn left and gauge goes to half way and stays, prior to that it will be a 3rd and blowing warm air.At half its very warm/hot.
Always goes up/changes temp on same bend,i have right amount of coolant and not losing it either!
