The heater only blows on the setting just before "max". I'm not sure if this is a switch or resistor issue. It was working a few weeks ago on the max setting...I do also have factory AC if it makes any difference in guessing the problem.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for bringing this up. Mine is doing something similar. First two positions are like a mouse breathing on my ankles. The last is actually too much. TD5 heaters are fantastic, when they work.

Same issue but I only get heat on the position slightly before max.

well i don't know what defender TD5's yo guys have but i only have 3 settings on mine.

off - low - high.

So I only have one working setting, just before high (maximum) any other setting and nothing goes out.

Like Ginge said. The rest is for show, to turn it down lower switch the lever on the right so you get heat up and down.

That explains a lot... probably need a new switch. Definitely will check the wiring before I spend the monies though.
