Hi there!

Looking for a bit of guidance on the installation of a new rev counter to my (2000) TD5 defender in place of the old clock. I have read that there are two methods of installation by either..

Existing clock positive and earth to the new counter as well as a signal wire going to Pin 19 of the black plug on the ECU, (assuming using this crimp https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/6795048/ )

or

Running to the "w" connection of the alternator? (Same theory as the signal wire to ECU?)

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this?

Any help appriciated!

Ok ECU out, not really what I was expecting and can’t seem to locate pin 19 to connect speedo signal wire!

Anyone have any ideas which pin I should be looking at for the speedo wire?

Thanks guys
