Afternoon chaps well another joyous day in land rover world :) my brand new fuel pressure regulator is leaking fuel at the vacuum connection. It's not seeping it's at full pressure like a hose pipe. Has anyone had experience with it failing like that. Here is a picture of how bad it is.

Cheers for the reply dude! I only fitted it on Tuesday is it common for it to go like this? I'm worried about it going again not to mention I was on the motorway when it started and when I got off on the slip road the car 180'd and I thought it was game over!

it's normal to leak through the vacuum port if it has innternal leak but it's not normal to go that bad and so fast, is it possible that your pump to deliver too much and ruin the diaphragm?,
the FPR is built to regulate the pump's output to steady 4 bar and the pump's output is not supposed to exceed 6.5 bar... so or the FPR was sh*T from factory(most probable) or the pump has too much guts and blows the FPR(quite unlikely)

I've ordered a Bosch replacement off Amazon it should be here anytime now. I won't be putting another one on from the same supplier. I'm so fed up with the car I want to sell it this incident happened on the motorway and when I got onto the slip road it spun 180 as soon as I tapped the brakes. If anyone else were behind me it would have been a lot worse. Or I had kids in the car, I'm just sick of it at the moment I'm going to fix it and see how I feel but for now it's in the doghouse.

Sell it and buy a tratter, they don't go fast enough to do a 180° glad no harm was done. Where were the bigger skid marks, inside or outside?
