This started as an occasional drip which prompted a trip to the local garage.

Seems that there is a common fault from the fuel pressure regulator with leaking......

Has anyone experienced this???

I have had a new genuine part fitted and the leak is still present...!

Thanks - Andy

I had the same problem with mine its easy enough to sort. It normally leaks from the fuel regulator end. Garage charges a bit though. parts are easy enough to come by regulator should come with hose. Its three bolts that hold it on they can be awkard to get at. Parts cost around £60.

had mine replaced two weeks ago at the last service.
it was also leaking and a dead cert to fail the mot if not fixed.

besides that it has stained my drive. wife wasnt happy !!!

it also can cause your starter motor to pack in as the fuel drips on to it.

Hi, any advice on replacing reg? Just seen that mine is liberating juice at an uncomfortable rate. Being an auto, wont be able to bump start it when starter dies!

when changing the fpr you need to replace the o ring but the o ring does not come in the kit my guessing is it has not been changed get a new gasket and a o ring (guess how i found this out)

Have many people had this problem with TD5's in 2003's 2004's?

My 2004 90 has just started to leak from the FPR.

I'm hoping that this is the cause of poor running / misfire that I've noticed recently which sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't at around 60mph+. I had suspected the in-tank fuel pump as it's a bit noisy and makes a different pitch of whine if you stop / start / turn a corner, etc. That was until I noticed the drip off the bell housing and the small pool of diesel underneath!

my 03 disco has just started leaking from what appears to be, on top of the fuel tank. the underside of the car is soaked in diesel. any ideas what it is and how to fix without taking tank off???

There's a plate that comes off under the boot carpet to access the top of the fuel tank and the pump. Depending what facilities you have might be easier than dropping the fuel tank.
