Hi

I Need to change the filter on my 03 td5 and clean the sensor. I have the water light come on every now and then, the filter looks very old so its time to change it and hopefully clean the sensor.
I have two questions, 1 - do I really need a LR one or are cooper ones a good quality, the price is a lot less.
and 2 - whats the best way to clean the sensor ?

Hope you guys can help.

Thanks

Dont need a genuine and the best thing to do is leave the plastic bung in the bottom of the new filter and tie the sensor up out the way, its a pain in the rear and not needed.

TBH, every year, I have an oil change done and at the same time I replace all the filters, air, oil, fuel and the rotary filter. Comes as a complete kit, including a new copper washer for the sump plug, various prices from about 10 quid up to something liked 80 quid for LR badged spares. I normally go for the kit that's about 16 to 20 quid from a reputable 4x4 parts supplier on the bay. Changing every year so they're not on the vehicle long enough to start causing quality based issues and problems.
