Yes they are. I fitted spring spacers to a TD5 discovery and the guy had bought 300tdi ones that I had to trim to fit.

S s3ndy New Member Oct 27, 2012 #6 My mate has a TD5 that he is breaking. Was just a thought that if it was an easy bolt on to fit then I would of swapped them over. Looks like I will be using new swivel balls £££££££££££

You can replace both swivel balls and bearings on a 300 tdi axle for about the same price as one complete td5 hub bearing assembly.
