knock the fooker into another orbit if he carries on that tack :frusty: :frusty:

Not worth wearing out your keyboard for :boxing:
Although I have to admit to having one or two :argue: on here with him and thoroughly enjoyed it because he's such a sanctimonious prick who believes his own rhetoric.

A bit like argueing with a politician - maybe he's really John Prescott

That wouldn't be the same technology that they BOUGHT & PAID FOR would it...................Tosspot

No it wouldn't. ****er. The storm had already been designed before BMW bought the Rover car company.. Just cos a company owns a different brand it doesn't mean that everything it makes has the name of the parent company on it, If that were the case there'd only be a handful of car makes. and most of them would be fords. inc your gaylander.

No, but that comment gave you a 'buzz' didn't it? :D

Oh Dear oh dear, it seems some people just want to jump to conclusions. We were testing 6cyl BMW diesel engines in Range Rover before it was announced that BMW had bought Rover. We were also developing "Storm" and "Tempest". BMW reviewed the projects and approved Storm as viable, Tempest became Disco Series II. Don't forget BMW needed a wider range of vehicles to help with legislation regarding overall fuel economy. Now then a bit later and it was clear Rover cars were not going to command premium prices (who would pay top dollar for longbridge rubbish?), we quite rightly got rid of Rover. Now became the problem of Land Rover. We wanted to keep her because the vehicles were being developed in the right way and the Brand is as strong if not stronger than BMW. However, reluctantly we had to sell because of the overall fuel consumption legislation in the states which would have meant $1,000 fine per car sold. Thus we developed our own small car (3 series compact, 1 series etc and our own SUV's). True we did get Mini, 4x4 technology, Front wheel drive technology (not used yet) etc. L/R got engine, electrical system technology etc.

so ther you go......just for info.....ex L/R (22 years) and now BMW (nearly 10yrs)!!

Finally, a sensible post from someone in the know & not some bitter twisted **** with only half a brain, the type that seems to plague Landyzone these days.

Once again for the terminally stupid here. Once BMW bought the whole package fairly & squarely, they owned it regardless of who developed it.

God...........it's like pullin teeth.

Surely not everyone on here is as thick as this....................
