Hi I have change everything on clutch system on my defender td5 99.

First I get clutch plate on wrong side. I started the car and clutch not working. We took down gearbox again and put plate at right side. After we get the gearbox mounted again then the car not start. Enginge cranking and fuel pump work. I took out crank sensor both time but after second time I didnt have so much time to work whit car. I mounted crank sensor and wiring and my friend mounted the rest. He didnt connect the wiring in the gearbox so I have to do that when Im home again. Must the wiring be connected in gearbox so I can start the car? Both earth cable on gearbox and transfer box is mounted.
Air box is not mounted but the car would start anyway I hope.

Why is my landy "angry" to me now and not want to start?

is the battery fully charged if you've been cranking it for ages, and are the earth straps on gearbox, think wiring on gearbox is speedo and difflock on tranny box so should start without them, wont start without crank sensor so check that

Make sure the crank sensor is fully home in its housing. It runs at about 1.5mm clearance so you need to be quite accurate.

I will check sensor again and the wiring to. I have read now there was one guy who find the wiring jumped out the connector to crank sensor.

I have now tried whit new crank sensor and check the wiring and it and it still not working:(

Anyone idea?

I'm not one for ECU'ed cars, but has playing about with the battery caused a need to have the ECU reset? Just a thought? A mates volvo had to be re-programmed after he removed a battery terminal  and that's why I have a 200tdi, no complicated unnecessary electrics to worry about...

I found that the red connector to ECU wasnt fully contact. I could press that in 2mm and then the car started. Thanks for all help.
