sorry to repeat,have put it under td5 engine forrum,any way been to look at a 2000 gs disco,prob i got with it temp says fine,on running all water in tank diapears,top hose hard and very hot bottom one cold,after a run lifted bonnet after bit level in bottle starts going back to norm,but lot of hissing from tank over flow pipe any advise please
 
It sounds like the cooling system is being pressurised by the exhaust gasses, so it will probably need the head gasket replaced.

Heads crack- walk away and chassis corrode badly
 
he wants 3500 for it,its defo not right,when its running the water in header tank shouldnt diapear,then come back slowly when its switched of

Well that's what it's worth - on MARS !!!!!!!


A non runner Disco is worth £500 to £1500 depending on age, mileage and condition.
