Just got back from a 5 min trip, turned it off and then had to move it 5 mins later, and she wouldn't start, shed loads of battery life still in her. She's always started fine, about the only thing it's been good at recently - jsut wondering what it could be, never had trouble with it starting before, and it was warm when i started it up to come back from town, just don't want yet another trip to a garage - any ideas??
cheers

My TD5 did the same thing. But are the symptoms the same? On mine, I could hear the relay/solanoid "click", but the starter wouldn't turn. The problem turned out to be the starter itself. £175 for a new starter motor, fitted and working. Incidentally, the vehicle bump-started really well!

shed load of battery -does this mean that the starter is turning but it wont "fire" ?? or is it not even turning over ??
could try on and off with the immobiliser a few times ??

mines a 99 disco td5 It did it to me while I was driving it stopped then wouldnt fire up again it turned over no problem it turned out to be the fuel pump
