hi guys whats the name for the bearing that fits in the centre of the gearbox were the centre shaft comes out that fits in the centre of the clutch. as that shaft has up and down play in it.

in't yeh in wrong bit ?

Do you mean the "spigot bearing" in the flywheel that the gearbox mainshaft goes into ?

Did'nt know there was a bearing there ? Thought that bit was to stop the clutch bearing fork flying off backwards !

it dose have movement up/down etc but shouldnt have anymore than 2 thou end float, there are 2 for primary pinion shaft rtc6751 for j suffix tzz10090 for k suffix on ,but directly between input shaft and main shaft is bearing ukc8l its more likely to have wear than input ,even so play more likely to come from mainshaft bearing behind 1st gear wearing back through case ,would require stripping to change any ,try end float

hi i think its call the lathe shaft bearing its making a noise wen clutch pressed in i changed the thrust bearing and it did not cure it so box off again. so im changeing complete clutch and that spiggott bearing and that other bearing what prevents the play in that shaft i need the name of it so i can get it on ebay
