TD5 110 X reg with close to 150,000 miles on the clock
As it's approaching a milestone I'm going to give it a good look over. It's running well at the moment, had a replacement head at 100K and a turbo at 140K. Runs good, pulls well, no smoke, starts on the button and I want to keep it that way.
What's recommended to do aside from the usual fluids and filters for higher mileage?
I'm thinking belt tensioner, check oil pump nut, hoses etc
What normally gives way on these engines?

Just drive the td5, it will show you when it needs help. Keep on top of the oil changes though.

+1 for the oil changes, and a look inside the intercooler to inlet hose will show you if the engine is breathing heavily. If you're at all worried an emissions test can also show up many issues at an early stage.

For the price of a td5 engine, I'd just keep it well serviced. They are 10 a penny now and not worth the agro of checking mains IMO.
