Just after some varied opinions on under sealing the chassis on my TD5.It's a 2000 reg es model and just had MOT advisory of excessive rust and corrosion on the chassis. No holes as yet but does look rough, not planning to change it,so thinking of having it cleaned and wax oiled,or equivalent. What's the general opinion of fellow owners, get it done or leave well alone.

clean it with steam cleaner/hotwash if possible especially in holes in chassis ,wire brush loose material off ,you can use a rust killer if you want ,paint chassis with hammerite black paint then waxoyl fully inside and out ,thin waxoyl with cheap std paint thinners (50% ish)and spray with paraffin gun ,waxoyl is better over paint if possible

Get it done, otherwise you won't have a Discovery this time next year.

'Drive it in, sweep it out' is particularly true with Discovery2 of any age.

Thanks guy's,not good is it,thought they were built to go anywhere,do anything, not rust away.Gonna get this sorted as soon as funds allow and appreciate your opinions.
