Looking to replace my coolant sensor, I always thought that although the sensor was the same as the fuel temp sensor the washers were different? Looking on the online parts places they seem to be exactly the same washers - is this correct ??

Sensor - ERR2081
Washer - ERR6192

dowty washers are more used on higher pressure systems

yeah, it was more that I thought there was different washers used for the two applications.
stay away form aluminium washers as they dont like to seal against aluminium surfaces (alloy against alloy )

you can just use normal copper washers on the fuel temp sendor as its not exactly a high high pressure system (4 or 5 bar) nothing that a stander ed copper washer can not handle .... i have never had any issues in the past using just plain copper washers on mine and other types of fuel systems i work on

the only time i have had to install dowty washers on lower pressure systems is when there is a deformation of slightly defected in the surface areas or if i cand find the correct size of copper washer on demand

Cheers, this is for the coolant sensor though.
