Yeah i thought there would have to be some sort of mod to get it in there but the guy said it will fit fine , nearly bought the bloody thing aswell .

Would a double even fit in the slot at all ?

You don't understand what a double din size means do you?

OK a pic of a double din head unit, its twice as deep as a single din.

No a double wont fit with out major mods
THIS
you tube clip shows it is just a single din with a bigger fascia

You will need the trim piece and one of the two adapter leads on THIS page depending on what system you have now

My reply was in responce to your question "Would a double even fit in the slot at all" if you know the size of a double din headunit why ask? it's very obvious it won't

Anyway back to you mult CD-player remove it and take it to an ICE equipment repairer for a service, a clean and a bit of adjustment could work wonders and better that buying a replacement s/h unit.

Well priced a few up & how much it would cost to get dash customized , price of a decent cd player etc...................

went home took casing off auto changer and plugged it back in to see what was happening with it , black wheel which sends the arm in to pick a cd was stiff/jammed gave it a little push and its working fine put a little lubricant on it to keep it ticking over for a bit ...... thank fk

the amount of posts ive seen about these auto changers and ppl going to buy a new one ..... i know nothing at all & have fixed very few things before and this took 15 minutes i actually wonder how many ppl waste money on a new changer !!!

thankyou for help :)

Yup common fault that the arm jams which is why I asked what was wrong. Mine did the same. It may jam again I harsh bang on the casing sometimes works if u greased up
